Weichai has introduced the N-series engines for front-engine buses, with displacements ranging from 2 L to 4.6 L. The engine power ranges from 140 Ps to 240 Ps, with a maximum torque of up to 850 N·m, which enhances low-speed torque for light-duty engines to meet acceleration performance requirements. A secondary balance mechanism is standard to reduce engine vibration and improve NVH performance.
