Recently, an Indonesian diesel power plant project with a total installed capacity of 40 MW, powered by Weichai Baudouin 12M55 generator sets, successfully passed customer acceptance. The units have operated efficiently for over 2,000 hours under harsh conditions characterized by high temperature and high humidity. The customer has highly commended the Weichai generator sets for their actual fuel consumption and operational reliability.

  The diesel power plant project is located at a hydrometallurgical nickel laterite processing plant in Indonesia. Twenty 2,000 kW Weichai Baudouin 12M55 generator sets operate around the clock, providing efficient and reliable power support for the plant"s mining, ore processing, smelting operations, as well as administrative and residential camps.

  The project site is situated near the coast with a hot and humid climate, featuring an average humidity of 82.5%. Tailored to local environmental conditions and customer requirements, Weichai provided a comprehensive, integrated one-stop power solution, including electrical systems, centralized monitoring systems, and fuel systems, ensuring the generator sets maintain optimal performance despite the harsh, hot, and humid operating environment.

  Since the design and construction phase of the power plant, Weichai has fully collaborated with the customer on engine selection, installation, and testing to enhance construction and operational efficiency. The efficient and reliable operation of the power plant is also a testament to the dedicated service provided by Weichai engineers. In the hot and humid local climate, Weichai service engineers were drenched in sweat after only a few minutes of work. Nevertheless, they persevered through the 40°C heat to successfully complete commissioning, delivered the high-performance units to the customer, and provided patient training on operational procedures.
