Note:

I. Power Definitions:

Prime Power (PRP) of the genset:

1. Average load factor over a 24-hour period does not exceed 70%. 2. An overload capacity of 10% is permitted for 1 hour within every 12-hour period. 3. Annual operating hours do not exceed 3,000 hours.

Continuous Power (COP) of the genset:

1. Unlimited annual operating hours. 2. Operation at a constant 100% load. 3. Includes 10% overload capability.

II. Power Matching Requirements:

1. For vessels with annual operating hours exceeding 3,000 hours or those subjected to high-impact loads, such as light-attracting fishing vessels, refrigerated vessels, rake-dredging vessels, floating cranes, sand suction vessels, and wind power installation vessels, selection must be based on the continuous power rating.

2. For vessel types where domestic power or auxiliary pumps are the primary loads, such as inland transport vessels, coastal fishing vessels, and high-speed boats, selection can be based on the prime power rating.
